DESCRIPTION:
ProFaux Toscana is a premixed permanent hard heavy texture
for Old World looks and feel. Similar to an exterior white
concrete, this durable product contains a fine sharp aggregate.
Ready to tint or apply. Thins with water or latex paint.
Scruff resistant and without smell of solvents. Toscana
texture is used as a rough stucco base or can be topped
with ProFaux Neutral Venetian for smooth translucent stucco.
Toscana is successfully combined with many other products
in the ProFaux Line. Used for interior residential and
commercial decoration.
GENERAL: Over
absorbent surfaces, use latex sealer. On old paint, remove
loose paint, fill, sand and prime. On wood, metal and
concrete, use recommended sealer. For best coverage, work
over flat latex paint primer that has been tinted to approximate
color of ProFaux Toscana Color (generally white or pastel).
Thin with one quart of custom latex paint cover (or water)
per gallon. Use the heavy duty Pro Faux mixer and drill.
Apply brush and roller, steel spatulas or trowel. Add
texture by stippling with texture roller or pounce brush.
Tip-off high points with spatula or dampened plastic float.
May be carved for several hours. Let dry. Stain with thin
washes of Pro Faux Stonewash Pigments. Let dry. Seal with
Pro Faux Acrylic Zero Gloss Varnish. * Always seal exterior
application with exterior water-based or solvent-based
varnish.
Color and Seal Toscana
finish with Two Easy Methods:
Method 1- Stain with Pro
Faux Stonewash Pigments using watery washes and cellulose
sponges. Let dry 20 minutes to overnight. Protect stonewash
pigments by rolling-on a full coat of Pro Faux Acrylic
Zero Gloss Varnish.
Method 2- Mix Pro Faux Open-Time Glaze with latex
paint color. Brush and roll. Remove excess with brushes
or heavy rags.
MIXING: Tint
with white or custom colored latex paint. Use heavy duty
Pro Faux Mixer and drill. (This product is too thick to
mix color reliably on a paint shaker).
APPLICATION:
Thickness does not affect Pro Faux Toscana product. May
be applied with tools such as brush, roller, spatula and
trowel. Coverage: Varies widely depending upon application
method. 25-175 sq. ft. per gallon.
DRYING TIME:
Allow 2 hours to overnight, depending on film thickness
(68 degrees @ 65% RH).
CLEAN UP & DISPOSAL:
Use hot water for application equipment. Do not
dispose of any product in sewers, waterways or municipal
garbage. Allow waste product to harden before disposal.
If liquid disposal is necessary, contact your local municipality
or paint store for instructions.
NOTE: Non
Combustible. KEEP FROM FREEZING.
