| A Faux Debut The show's many learning opportunities began on the morning of Nov. 19 with five PDRA certification seminars held at the Hotel Inter-Continental. The popular comer to the seminar lineup was the sold-out Certified Faux Consultant Course, presented by the Pro Faux duo of John Catalanotto and Greg Frohnapfel courtesy of Pratt & Lambert Paints. The new course was highlighted by six hours of hands-on faux finishing covering many basic as well as advanced techniques."I've been doing faux finishing by myself, and this class is fine-tuning it for me," said Hugh Wambach of Bachs Best in Fenton, Mich. "it's really informative, and they (the instructors) explain things well." "I think the class is going great; I've been waiting for a class like this," commented Debbie Reis, manager of Ace Paints in McMurray, Pa. "It'll help me assist my customers more. Now I can hold my own seminars at the store on graining and marbleizing. |
