ProFaux
Transforms PDRA
The PDRA headquarters building in suburban St.
Louis is receiving a major facelift, courtesy of ProFaux Workshops
of Akron, Ohio, The principals of the company, Greg Frohnapfel,
are completing the work, which includes some of the latest European
finishes. In the first phase of the project, they were assisted
by two other faux artists: Lori Wilson of Golden Artist Colors,
and Joe Eby of Eby Faux & Decorative Studio in Omaha, Nebraska.
There
were various elements of the initial project, including:
The entranceway, featuring textured pitted bronze metal
on the ceiling, with 23-carat gold leaf on the rims and faux brick.
The receptionist area, featuring venetian plaster and two
corporate logos. The PDRA logo was done in 23-carat gold leaf
and the "R" in blue lapis, while the logo of tenant
Global solutions was done in silver leaf.
The waiting area and front hallway both feature textured
finishes. The waiting area was done in Tuscan Stone, while the
hallway features a plaster finish using ProFaux Carolina sandstone.
The ProFaux team also is doing work in other parts of the PDRA
building, including the education/meeting room which is being
completed in wood graining with trompe l'oeil architectural details.
Look for photos of these projects in future issues.
