FAUX BASES
Our products are user-friendly acrylics that take high pigment
loads for virtually unlimited color range and saturation.
ProFaux’s Pro-Base are thick and are generally applied
with blue steel spatulas in a crosshatch manner. Two coats
are applied thinly over a flat latex primer that has been
tinted to the approximate color of the ProFaux Base color.
While these products stick well to almost any substrate,
they perform better over flat grounds(i.e. flat latex primer
or paint works the best).

Our Pro Venetian
base may be more widely known as "Venetian Plaster".
All Pro Venetian colors are made from Neutral Base or White
Base. Color such as the Red, Green, Blue, Black Base are
actually made from the Neutral Base at the factory to save
you time. All our bases can be intermixed with each other
or tinted with Universal Colorants. These liquid colorants
are available at quality independent paint dealers.

Pro
Toscana offers premixed heavy texture of Old World look
and feel. It's a tintable acrylic paste with fine/sharp
acrylic. Can be thinned with water or latex paint and applied
with brush, roller or trowel. Use for stucco and stone looks.
For a smooth finish, topcoat with Pro Faux's Neutral base
and burnish. Also try our range of Stonewash Pigments, Open-Time
Glaze and Iridescent Waxes on top for grate looks and durability.

Pro
Sandstone is a "brush and roller" product
containing microspheres which adds a fine texture to the
wall surface. Trowel while still damp to produce interesting
"worm-tracks." Accentuate the texture with Stonewash
Pigments or Open-Time Glaze mixed with color.

Roll On Base
Sandstone Roll-on is thicker than paint and can be applied
with a brush then troweled for a different designer look.
See Pompeii,
Etruscan Sandstone
and Lucca finishes
on this website. If troweled while still damp it produces
random "worms tracks" that look very stonelike
when stained with the Stonewash
Pigments.
Pro-Quartzite
Roll On Base
Pro-Quartzite
is our first interior/exterior stone-like plaster. Just
roll-on, knock down and glaze. It's that easy! Pro-Quartzite
is tintable with latex paint, ProFaux
Pigments, Universal Colorants and Perfetto
Colorants. We recommend prepping new interior work with
our Diamond
Tooth Primer then rolling Pro-Quartzite with a 3/4"
nap roller. Trowel down with our new Italian trowels for
no-stick application. Dries in 4 hours and is ready to glaze.
Glaze glides on the surface and stays workable longer! Use
Zero
Gloss for further protection. Call for details on exterior
