The idea behind this workshop was to allow the decorative painter to compete in tighter markets while still being creative. The finishes in this new workshop were designed to be as direct as possible using the fewest number of steps, in many cases over existing texture. Many homes today have a rolled and knocked down or sprayed texture on the walls, making smooth sample boards out of reach. These new finishes arm the decorative painter with treatments that are appropriate for newer construction without the expense and mess of heavy surface preparation. Furthermore, in response to the green movement that is sweeping the nation, ProFaux would like to call attention to the fact that they have been “green” long before it was fashionable to do so. Our water based and lime products have little or no environmental impact, therefore we named the finishes in Cashing in on Greener Finishes after America’s Jewels, her national parks and monuments! You’ll get a sense of history as you read the brief descriptions of the majestic and natural wonders each park has to offer. It might even inspire a family trip this year.
